List of United Nations Day, observer in the world

On October 24, 1945, came to the United Nations (UN) in effect when the five permanent members of the Security Council have ratified the charter, which was drafted earlier this year. These members are: France, the Republic of China, the Soviet Union, Great Britain and the United States.

Since 1948, the anniversary of the event was known as United Nations Day. This is an opportunity to recognize, celebrate and reflect on the work of the United Nations and its specialized agencies.

United Nations Day 2012
Wednesday, October 24, 2012
United Nations Day was observed on October 24, 1948. The UN has recommended that the UN should be a holiday in the States since 1971. Was also called UN Day to be an international holiday to draw public attention to the work, the role and achievements of the United Nations and its family of agencies. These were dramatic, especially in the areas of human rights, support in the areas of famine, disease eradication, health promotion and the settlement of refugees.

The UN does not work alone, but with many agencies, including: World Health Organization (WHO), UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), United Nations Educational , Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the International Labour Organization (ILO), UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and UN Human Rights Council Rights (CHR).

Metro Vancouver gas prices up of 130 cents per liter

Gas prices are high! But how high gas prices? If you were in San Francisco the night, you could see a gas station 76, where a gallon of regular gasoline was selling for $ 4.39 a gallon, according to recent announcements about the service control GasBuddy.com.

Obama would have thought to use the strategic oil reserves as gas prices head toward the stratosphere. The average price of $ 3.50 across the country yesterday, up 15 cents in just one week, AAA said. There are still a long way, but from a record $ 4.11 a gallon in July 2008.

Gas Buddy is a gas of San Francisco is the most expensive city in the country, averaging $ 3.93 a gallon, followed by 15 other cities in California. Los Angeles, it is difficult to find a station that is charging less than about $ 3.95 a gallon. The official Energy Information Administration weekly price survey will be published later today. Some analysis of the media than the national average sits at about $ 3.44 per gallon is quite the jump from the average of $ 3.12 per gallon Montana enjoys today.

But the higher prices we see in the next week will be nothing compared to where DeHaan said Magic City can be directed to the Memorial Day Weekend.

"The transaction prices can be anywhere from $ 3.65 to 4.05 dollars a gallon," said DeHaan.

Again, these prices are still lower than the expected national average - $ 4.25. But if we get to the top of the spectrum here in Billings, take this difference of $ 0.20, you may need it for gas money.
